Transition to Teaching

Employers often comment on the need for people with skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

To make a real and lasting change, schools need to recruit additional teachers of science, mathematics and information and communication technology (ICT).

The Transition to Teaching Programme

This programme has been designed with employers to promote a new career in teaching to high-performing employees who are considering a mid to late career change. The programme targets employees with relevant degrees who can share their knowledge and experience, and inspire the next generation.
